Suggest Medications For Neck Pain

My daughter, age 14, hurt her neck tonight. She can t move it to the right or left,down to her chin ..any movement causes pain in her neck along the base other skull and down her back. I asked her how she hurt it and she said she just turned her neck, did not do anything specific to hurt it. I gave her an ice pack to put on her neck and an ibuprofen. Any other suggestions to ease the pain and get through the night?

I have studied your case and I can understand her situation. She is having acute neck sprain.I would recommend you to get a x ray of her neck to confirm that there is no bony problem in her neck.
After making sure about this I have following suggestions for you.
1. Hot water fomentation
2. Voletran ointment daily
3. She should take Brufen tablet twice daily. I also prescribe 4 mg myoril to my patients.
4. She should not use very high pillow, also she should take some good rest. Travelling is not good for her.
