Suggest Medications For Hearing Impairment

My husband got an injury on the back of his head due to which he is hearing less from left ear. The doctor prescribed Zerodol-P to be taken for 3 days. The less hearing is better but still not absolutely corrected. Should he continue the medication or is there something that you will suggest?

The deceased hearing could be due to a few factors:

1. damage to his ear drum
2. some bleeding from the ear
3. mild damage to his nerve.

it would be better to examine the ear, do a tuning fork test and an audiometry test before proceeding further
