Suggest Medications For Amlodipine

How can I get off amlodipine. I know I need to lose some weight and exercise more, but are there safe ways to get off it, and how do I do it, since my Dr. probably wouldn't want to let me. I think she put me on it too soon before I had a chance to try to handle it with diet and exercise.

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
Amlodepine can cause pedal edema ,but wont cause obesity. If you have edema then only think of avoiding amlodepine.
If it is controlling your B.P, well you need not worry about stopping it.
You can keep weight under control, by avoiding fats, fries, junk foods, and oily foods.
Increase your activity by practicing, morning walk, yoga, gardening, and do any work in front of you.
Minimize the sleeping time ,practice late to bed, and early to rise, avoid day time sleep.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
