Suggest Medications For Acid Reflux

I have had a Sleeve Gastrectomy April 2015. I am now suffering from AWFUL acid reflux. I have been taking a PPI, Pepcid and nothing is working. It is literally waking me in the night burning. is there anything I can do? I am afraid I am taking too much acid reducer.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, your history suggest more of gastric esophageal reflux disease(GERD)
I am of the opinion that you are taking correct medications.
however i would suggest
1) To take the ppi 30 minutes before food, as it acts well in acid conditions.
2) To take pepcid 30 minutes after food.
3) To continue medications for a full course of one month, avoiding alcohol and spicy food would be a greater value.
4) If still condition persist, consult with your physician about H.pylori infection, and other relater sphincter muscle studies.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
