Suggest Medication To Reduce Blood Pressure

Yes my blood Preston is 161/95 and hour ago and a call the nurs and she tall me to take otro 50 mg of losartan my normal doses normal is 50 msg daily but now after a take other 50 mg my blood pressure is 140/85 p is 66 what is the best recomendation and tank you sonia

Thanks for the question! Since how long have you been having high BP? And How long have you been taking losartan 50 mg dose? What is your age?

Since your blood pressure has not come down with losartan 50 mg assuming you have been taking it regularly for atleast two weeks, I would consider adding another medication such as amlodipine or hydrochlorthiazide. You may check with your physician regarding the dosage and timing of administration since these are prescription medication.
