Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 63 year old male with low energy. I get tired walking across the room. I do not think it is heart related as I had several test a year ago and all was ok. I have had low red blood cells in the past. I used to give myself a b-12 shot at least once a month but do not have anymore. my doctor retired. What can I take for energy? I do not have health insurance

Suggest Medication To Increase Energy Levels
Hi May i ask you a few more questions ! Do you have any shortness of breath on walking . Do you have any pain ? chest pain , upper abdomin pain ,shoulder pain on walking ? Are you using any medications ? Do you enjoy a good sleep for about 6-8 hours ? Do you have a good appetite ? Are you a smoker ? Drinks alcohol ? Do you have any palpitation /feeling of fast heart beat ? while walking . What about your weight ? and your body mass index (weight proportion to your height ). If you answer these questions , I can give you a better advice , and a good history will avoid unnecessary tests and procedures . Thank you
