Suggest Medication To Get Relief From Constant Burning In Urethra

Im female and have constant burning by my urethra for 2 1/2 months now. My first urine test came back positive. I was given Macrobid but it was resistant to it. So then I was given Keflex. Again no relief. The doctor then gave me Cipro. I really haven t felt any relief but my urine tests came back negative. Pyridium is not easing the burning either. I had a cystoscopy done almost 2 weeks ago but there were no findings, everything looked normal. The urologist prescribed Doxycycline 100 mg twice a day for 30 days to make sure there is no infection in the peri urethral. I was also given an anti depressant because I m in tears every day. It s been a week in these meds but still no relief. Could you please advise on any other things that should be taken into account? I just want my old life back! Thank you,Kasey

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You have urinary tract infection not relieved by many antibiotics. You have developed resistance against some antibodies. You should go for urine culture and sensitivity test. It will give you exact bacteria causing problems and antibiotics that is sensitive against them. Then you should take treatment accordingly.
Levofloxacin, azithromycin or higher antibiotics can be helpful. Consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
