Suggest Medication To Cure Persistent Dry Cough

I have a persistent cough that requires something stronger than over the counter medications for cough conditions. I have a dry cough that I cannot shake and I am loosing sleep over this issue. I need to find a doctor that can have an online session so I can get the help I need.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi ,
Thank for asking to HCM.
Common reason for persistent dry cough are Upper airway cough syndrome , Gastroesophageal reflux disease , asthma & smoking.
I would like to know whether you are allergic having post nasal discharge or history of acid reflux or Asthmatic or chronic smoker.
If I were your treating doctor, I would advice you Saline nasal drop , combination of Antihistaminic levocetirizine + Leukotriene antagonists Montelukast , Antacid & Cough suppressant.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
I find this answer helpful
