Suggest Medication To Avoid Constant Skin Breakouts On Scalp And Body

Hi, I have scalp and skin breakouts for a year. Been to several Dermatologists, my Dr. and now taking Chinese herbs and acupuncture. No one has taken any skin/scalp samples. Since I m 50, my Dr did routine tests for 50 yr olds, including a stool test. Everything looked good. My mammogram showed a lump that doesn t look cancerous. I go back next month to see how it s progressed. Had breakouts pretty much all over my body, now its down to at least a dozen or so on shoulders, back, butt and thighs. Sometimes they start with a sting or bite like feel, sometimes they are very itchy. Sometimes I feel an itch for weeks before anything appears on the skin. When I can t hold back and scratch, there seem to be small little slivers and/or tiny white specs imbedded in skin, which usually get infected when broken open. Also on scalp, which gets a tingly or feeling of movement. Hair is thinning and starting to scar me. Seems like it s starting in the hair and spreading downwards upon new outbreaks, happens in almost a 4-6 week cycle. Right when it clears, new breakouts start. About 3 times lumph nodes in neck have spasmed and were sore for about a week or 2 at a time. I ve taken Epiduo, Basel, mupirocin, and Desoximetasone ointments, along with Benadryl and Lyxal pills. Not to mention vitamins for hair and tea tree oil products (now I m a bit allergic to tea tree oil), tried Epson salts and organic apple cider vinegar. Nothing is getting rid of this. How can I eradicate this?

Hello,

I completely understand your concern for the constant skin breakouts on scalp and body.

After analyzing the complete query with diligence I can get that your condition is of "Recurrent Folliculitis".

You have not told your age with gender and related other any of medical illness so that I would have analyzed the situation better.

Any how if I were your treating doctor then would have preferred for complete blood analysis with blood sugar.

Additionally I would have recommended a culture and sensitivity of the pus from various sites. It is of utmost importance in your kind of situations where we can know the exact bacteria causing the problem along with the sensitive antibiotic for the same.

All the best.
