Suggest Medication For Small Dent And Pain In Forehead Due To A Fall

Hello, I am a college cheerleader, and while stunting, my flyer (the one who goes in the air) fell back and her spine hit my right side of my forehead. I collapsed soon afterwards, but I was okay. But now, yhere fell like some kind of dent in the side of my forehead and there is always a really sharp pain whenever I move or touch that area. Help??

Hello dear,
You appear to have a minor head injury due to the said incident. What do you mean by collapse? Was it associated with a loss of consciousness(loc)? If yes,you should get a brain imaging(computerised tomographic scan or CT scan)to rule out any intracranial injury. If no loc was there, a brain imaging is not needed. If truly there is a dent, which was not there before(most of the times,it is only incidental that we notice these things now, although they were there even before the incident but we never somehow, noticed them), a CT head with a bone window can be done to rule out any bone injury. In your case,it is apparently a mild injury and everything should be fine,if that is the case, simple analgesics and antineuralgics may help. Please discuss with your family physician so that he can judge the severity of injury, plan of investigations and treatment.I hope it helps.
