Suggest Medication For Small Bumps In The Groin Area

I have had several small bumps in my groin area, including but not limited to the shaft of my penis and area above my groin. They have been present for six months now without getting any worse or better, but now new ones are appearing and the old ones are still there. They do not itch or hurt in any way, so I had hoped it was a rash that would just go away. They are hard in the center, but no fluid comes out when the are popped, which is nearly impossible to do, since they seem to maybe be under the skin? They are definitely not warts, as they are completely round, and not crusty or cauliflowered at all. Please help me figure this out, I have no health insurance, so if it is serious I will go to the Doc, but if I can treat it myself or if it is just viral, it will only cost me money I don't have. I am a very clean person, so hygiene couldn't have played a role in this. I haven't even tried to have sex in 6 months because I am terrified that I might have some kind of STD. PLEASE HELP

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of small bumps in the groin area which seems to be due to clogging of sebaceous gland sin that area and due to bacterial infection of hair follicles. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to wash area with body wash containing benzoyl peroxide then apply cream containing azelaic acid which is safe and very effective. Apply topical antibacterial ointment. If condition doesn't get better in a month then consult dermatologist for proper diagnosis and treatment . Doctor may prescribe retinoid ointment and antibiotic like minocyclin. Exfoliate your skin with non comedogenic exfoliant once a week to remove dead skin.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
