Suggest Medication For Skin Flakes From The Scalp

My daughter who is 6 yrs old is having flaky white scalp coming out of the head. After shampooing by Head & Shoulder then for a day skin is clear but next day it start coming out. They are patchy & spreaed on some part of the head may be 50%. Is it normal Any medicine u can suggest

As per your complain it seems that flaky white scalp coming out of the head indicates that your daughter are suffering from Seborrheic Dermatitis commonly known as Dandruff and common causes for it can be fungal infection, genes, change in weather, poor hygiene conditions, poor immunity etc..

I would suggest you to consult a Trichologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and microscopic examination of the flakes can help in diagnosis and treated accordingly..

She can be advised to apply shampoo containing Ketoconazole, coal tar, salicylic acid, zinc, selenium, sulfides etc..
You can also be advised to massage the scalp with mild steroid lotion..
You should also keep her scalp clean and avoid moisture accumulation to prevent infection..
