Suggest Medication For Severe Hair Loss

Hello I am Vishakha, age 24. I am facing severe hair fall from last 2 years. I was staying in chennai over this period for my education. I am born and brought up in Delhi. So I thought it was because of change in water. moreover water there is salty. Its been 3 months I am back in delhi, but I feel my hairfall has rather worsoned. I have lost more dan 50% of my hair. I referred to a dermatologist and also went for ferratin test. If gives 5.1 ng/unit and the bracket given in report is 4.6 - 204 ng/unit. which means it is normal but in lower end. For this she has prescribed me T. Androanyen and C. Autrin capsules to be taken daily. Should I go ahead with these medecines? will they help? I am not doubting her treatment; however googling about medecines I got to know T. Androanyen is for men and has side effects like growing hair on other parts of body like moustache, breast area etc. Can you suggest me something upon this. It would be great. thank you !

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain T. Andronoagen is a combination of Saw Palmetto, Vitamins and minerals.
Autrin capsule contain iron, folic acid ,Vitamin C and Vitamin B12..
Both these medications are suitable for hairloss, while Andronoagen is generally given in case of Pattern baldness in males and females as it is anti-androgen and suppress androgenic hormones..
It is however not given to females of child bearing age, therefore you should avoid taking it and discuss once again with a Trichologist before taking it..
You can continue taking autrin and along with it take multivitamin and biotin supplements and apply 2% Minoxidil solution over the scalp..
Massage your scalp with warm coconut oil..
Take more of green leafy vegetables and fruits in diet..
Drink plenty of water..
Keep the scalp dry and clean and wash every alternate day with a mild shampoo..
You can also discuss with the Trichologist about latest techniques like Mesotherapy and Platelet rich plasma..
