Hi,
Flagyl is a very good drug for amoebiasis. But it can remain chronic in some people due to persisting amoebic spores in the gut which are not effected by flagyl.
First, we should make sure it is amoebiasis and nothing else like inflammatory bowel disease. You need colonoscopy for that. Once no major problem is seen, or you have typical ulcerations in the bowel for amoebiasis, then you need to take eradication therapy for amoebiasis which will eventually kill all the spores and will most likely free you from the disease.
You may choose premium section for elobaration.
Hope this helps.
