Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

I have gone through your concern and I have understood it.

Oily skin (seborrhea) is due to over activity of oil producing glands, which is more of a concern specially if your are living in hot, humid coastal region like trichy

If I was the treating doctor I would have started you on Oral retinoids (Isotretinoin) in a dose of 5 mg once daily. Isotretinoin is sebostatic (would decrease the size of sebaceous glands to about 90% of there original size in about a month) thereby significantly helping oily skin conditions like seborrhea and acne. Oral retinoids take about a month time to show visible results. They need to be continued for at least 4-6 months.

Retinoids are prescription drugs and therefore should be taken under the supervision of a dermatologist. They require lab monitoring e,g Serum Lipid profile and Liver Function Tests.

Presently, you could begin using a 2% salicylic face wash/foam (saslic DS face wash) and once the retinoids have there full effect in about a months time, you need to stop salicylic acid face wash (OR else they both together would over dry your skin) and begin using a gentle cleanser for face wash.

Drink lots of water and take lots of citrus fruits

Regards
