Suggest Medication For Headache, Fever And Sore Throat

My 17 year old daughter had a sore throat for 4 days then the symptoms turned more to a cold. She went back to school today but when I came home from work this evening she has a fever of 100 degrees with a severe headache, chills and she is complaining to the point of crying about the body aches. I gave her 2 tylenol extra strength for fever and body aches. Asked her to take a warm shower and a bath with epsom salt. Is there something else I should do?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of headache, fever and sore throat which could be due to viral/ bacterial infection of body. It could be due to poor immunity and increased susceptibility of body of getting infected. I would suggest you nothing to worry about it. You have to boost your immunity by taking multivitamins and diet rich in vitamin A. You should take NSAID medication along with antibiotic such as Levofloxacin. You should take plenty of fluids. Avoid taking any sharp and oily food substances . You should take soft and bland food. You should take fresh juices in diet. Try to divide your meals in small fractions rather than having bulk at a time. Visit general physician once and get it examined. Go for blood tests as well. Start treatment after proper diagnosis.
