Suggest Medication For Headache And Cold

Yes, last night i was with my girl and she had strep throat and i was around it. But, anyway, all day today ive been extremely cold during school and felt like i was gonna fall over while standing in the hallway. Do you think this is something i should treat with like vicks and nyquil/dayquil? Ive been taking those and excederin for my headache. But what exactly is this?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have headache and cold, Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like sinusitis or allergic rhinitis . Avoid cold carbonated liquids and avoid oily and fried food. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan , MRI or blood test . Doctor may also order allergy test . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics ( amoxicillin or penicillin ) at least for 10 days along with decongestant , expectorant and anti allergic. You should go for X-ray paranasal sinuses as well. For now take steam thrice a day , apply warm compresses to face and do warm saline gargles .
