Hello First of all want to tell you that this little fleshy mass was a plug of mucus ( blood mixed with mucus produced by hay fever i.e. congestion ) . As you mentioned that you are having hay fever . Symptoms are congestion in chest and sneezing . Since these symptoms are due to allergy caused by some allergen as dust, mite , pollen , fine dusting powder , hay , fodder , cotton fiber , sudden change in temperature , humidity .These are predisposing factor of allergy , allergy is a main cause of asthmatic allergic bronchitis or asthma . Symptoms are nasal itching , rhinorrhea , nasal obstruction , sneezing , post nasal discharge . Avoidance is the best treatment . When such patient with hay fever visit to me I usually prescribe them . 1 Monteleukast+ bambuterol tablet once or twice in day . 2 Levofloxacin 10-15 mg / kg body weight / day ( one in a day) for 5-7 days. 3 Dextromethorphan + chlorapheniramine maleat syrup twice in day.
