Psychiatrist 's  Response
hi.. thanks for writing...i have understood your concerns...

on the basis of the symptoms u have described, it seems that u might be suffering from depression and it is there for long and now it has reached to a severe level..

in my opinion u shud consult a psychiatrist and ask for help..u shud tell him/her your feelings and thoughts..your problems...and what u think about yourself and others..?

after proper interview your diagnosis will be made...and u will be guided by him for treatment...

depression can be easily treated by antidepressant medication as well as psychotherapy...but in severe depression initial treatment strategy will be drugs mostly and when u start improving u can take psychotherapeutic sessions, particularly of cognitive behavior therapy...

u hve not given your age, total duration of your symptoms, whether u have consulted someone? these all matters in your treatment...so tell your psychiatrist full details..there is nothing shameful in it...depression can occur to anyone...

i hope this advice will be helpful to u..best luck
