Hi,

Thanks for writing to HCM.

I have gone through your question and understand your concern.

It is only possible to delay (postpone) the periods by means of medications.

It is suggested to take Tablet. Norethisterone 5 mg 3 tablets per day, one in the morning, one in the afternoon and one in the night (8th hourly).

This medicine has to be started at least 5 days before the expected period to have its effect. If taken close to the expected period then it may not be able to delay the period.
Periods will occur in 5 - 7 days in the form of withdrawal bleeding after you stop this medication.

It is fine to take such medication occasionally but not regularly, as it may lead to irregular periods in future.

Hope the information provided would be helpful.
Wish you good health.
