Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my mother had an heart attack and went through an angiography 3 months ago and has 2 stents placed. She now has an active cough and is worried if that can cause her stent to move or result in asthama. She is already taking a cough medicine. What should she do now ?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, angioplasty may not cause any cough, but some cardiac medicine could cause the cough if it is the angiotensin converting enzyme going on there as anti-hypertensive medicine, it is advisable to rule out this possibility if not then the could be due to allergic condition, or it could be bronchitis underlying cause of it is matter of concern, hope this information helps.
