hello doc
i'm 45 year old lady, from yesterday night i'm suffering from fever with cold and continous sever body pain. i have consulted a local doctor he gave some generl medicines for fever but it didnt work for me.
can u please guide me what medicines shuld i take.
according to doc symtoms are of seasonal flu.

Yes, possibility of viral Upper respiratory tract infection (URTI - flu) is more in your case.
Viral infections are self limiting in nature. It takes almost 1-2 weeks for complete recovery.
For symptomatic relief in viral URTI, follow these steps.
1. Avoid oily and spicy food. Avoid junk food. Avoid hard to chew food.
2. Drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated.
3. Start antihistamine and anti inflammatory drugs.
4. Do warm water gargles 5-6 times a day.
You will mostly improve in 1-2 weeks. Don't worry, you will be alright.
