Suggest Medication For Bruise And Soreness Of Gums

I brushed my gums very vigouresly last night on the right side of my mouth in front between my lips and teeth, and they bled but this doesn t concern me because I haven t brushed my gums specifically in quite some time I ll admit. So with this already stated I ve also been chewing tobacco for almost a year now. So today my gums at that place are sore I didn t know if the cause was my vigourous brushing or the tobacco. Thank you for your help.

Hello, Thank you for consulting with HCM.
Yes definitely it can be because of vigorous brushing, as it can cause trauma on the gums and peeling of superficial layer.
For the relief you have to apply a topical anesthetic ointment on it and if not healed within 1 week then you have to visit a good dentist for relief.
Hope it will help you.

Thank you for your query,

Blood during brushing can be due to many reasons and you have mentioned few of them as not brushing for some time, chewing tobacco and brushing vigorously.
In your case its is a combination of all the above mentioned reasons.
Not brushing your teeth leads to deposit of calculus (which is hard), vigorously brushing also leads to damage to the gums and chewing tobacco adds to the previously mentioned habits.
I would advise you to brush regularly with light hand motions and give up tobacco chewing altogether.
