Suggest Medication For An Infection On The Face

I get infections on my face now and again but i have one now and it hurts i have tried paracetomol and ibrofen but it is not working do you have any ideas on how to reduce the swelling and stop the pain and it is on the left side of my face and has swelled up the left side of my face and my eye is swelling up. I also have a temperture where one mintue i will be warm but the next mintue i will be cold also high temperture.

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have infection on face along with facial swelling and pain . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like chicken pox , acne , psoriasis , seborrheic dermatitis , allergic reaction and trigeminal neuralgia . I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may order complete blood profile or skin test. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like clindamycin or minocyclin at least for 10 days along with anti inflammatory and steroid ointment . For now wash your face with cold water and mild soap , apply moisturizer and do not apply any cosmetic product. Drink plenty of water. you should take diet rich in multivitamins. You should take vitamin B12 supplements as well.
