I wentcto acute care 2 weeks ago due to throat hurting and saw white spots in back of throat but they said it wasnt strep. Told me to take tylenol, alkegra and use cepacol throat drops. I have been for 2 weeks but my throat hurts bad and hurts to swallow which is making my ears hurt too....what should I do? And the white spots have been gone over a week now

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, thanks for your query. In my opinion, you might be having infection of your tonsil. If I were your treating doctor, I would have prescribed penicillin antibiotics + anti inflammatory medicines like paracetamol + diclofenac combination drugs twice daily for 3 to 5 days. Steam inhalation daily twice may be helpful. Betadine gargling twice daily for 3 to 5 days. If symptoms persists, then please consult with your doctor and get evaluated. Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
