Suggest Medication For A Painful Bruise And A Lump On The Calf

Hi, my husband has developed what started as a bruise and a lump on his lower calf . It is sore and the pain is exasscerbated by exercising or walking. The pain has moved up to underneath his kneeand feels more muscular now. the small lump is still there and it was exhibiting as a bruise a few days ago and now has a red hard streak going up his leg to behind his right knee.

A painful bruise/lump on the calf muscles could be caused by many medical conditions some of which are: an abscess, a cyst, soft tissue infection like cellulitis or myositis.It may as well be a thromboembolic problem though rare given your description .I will suggest you take pain medications like ibuprofen and have the place examined by your Doctor if no improvement.
