Suggest Medication For A High Fever

Hi, a 17 year old girl (my cousin) is having 104 fever from past 3 days. We got her blood and urine tested. Can you please let us know if this is a case of worry. The result is: Occasional pus cells, occasional epithelial cells, no bacteria, and no growth seen.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have high fever which could be due to bacterial/viral infection. You have presence of occasional pus cells and epithelial cells which is indicative of infection in your body. I would suggest you to do tepid sponging for immediate relief as you having high degree fever. You should take proper antibiotic course in combination with Ibuprofen/ Acetaminophen. Visit genetal physician once and get it examined. You should get routine blood test done and start treatment after proper diagnosis. Normally viral fever take one week duration to get recovered. Avoid oily and sharp food. Drink plenty of fluids.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Get Well Soon.

Best Wishes,
