Suggest Me Cause And Treatment For Fever And Joints Pain As Tests Are Normal

My nephew is having fever only in the evenings for the last two weeks with pains in the joints. Blood test shows high esr. rest all tests like typhoid, jaundice are all negative. Doctors have given antibiotic. KIndly advise what may be the reason. His age is 17.

As you mentioned that there was fever only in the evening from last two weeks .
Your nephew is also having joints pain in various joints.
E S R is raised.
While all other tests are normal .
Following possibilities may be , these includes.
1 Rheumatoid arthritis , this is most common cause of this type of fever and symptoms , so please get in blood examination for RHEUMATIC factor and E S R Also get in blood culture for streptococcus infection ( bacteria responsible for rheumatic fever ) .
2 Tuberculosis , as this is most common cause of prolonged fever with raised e s r . Get in X ray chest with sputum examination ( if sputum present ).
3 Chikengunia is the another most common cause of fever and multiple joint pain. Get in blood for virus examination.
In my opinion deal according to above mentioned reasons.
