Suggest Health Check Up Tests For Diabetics

Hello sir,
Is there any problem of not having proper check ups for person suffering from diabetes even his sugar levels are maintained normal and how often do u suggest to have complete checkup of whole body to a diabetes person?and especially when the person is suffering from mild Bronchitis?

Dear sir I understand your concern.There is a schedule to be followed in diabetes for testing.the beauty of diabetes is that most of complication in diabetes can be prevented if you are able to detect them in an early stage. i will guide you
1.fasting and after food 2hrs blood sugar once monthly can be done at lab or home.
2.hba1c once in 3 months
3.serum creatinine,blood urea and urine micro albumin once in 6 months.
4.lipid profile once in 6 months if lipids are under control or once in 3 months if lipids are not under controll
5.once yearly eye examination,VPT for vascular assisment,biothesiometry for neural assesment once yearly.
6.ultra sound abdomin once yearly for liver and prostate
7.once yearly ecg if needed echo that will be suggested by your doc.
8.doing LFT is by your doctor choice.
9.Xray chest once yearly
vaccinations in diabetes
once yearly influenza vaccine
once in 5 yrs pneumoccocal vaccine
both are must for you
