Suggest Dosage Of Neomercazole For Hyperthyroidism

i am 48, average height and weight and have had hyperthyroidism for 2 years, i started on neomercazole for 10 months and then stabilised so was advised stop medication.recently it flared up again and i need to know whether to take the medication after meals or on an empty stomach, morning or evening best ? thanks, Sarah

This is a medication that you take with food, I would recommend in the morning. You will have to take if for the rest of your life so do not stop it. Your dose will be adjusted depending on your age, any new medications, pregnancy, and further symptoms of hyperthyroidism. 10 mg is a good starting dose. You should have your thyroid levels check in about 4 months to see if the medication is working appropriately. You medication should be adjusted based on your thyroid levels.
