Suggest Dosage Of Lactihep Syrup

Gastroenterologist Doctor pls provide your invaluable feedback My father age is 48 yrs and 118 kg and diagnosed with Chronic liver infection Hepatitis B and his HBV DNA is 0000 IU/ml , Alpha Feto protein is 10.4, He is having constipation problem after following restricted diet and medications like Baraclude, Ursocol and Dytor Plus and various others. I am asking the usage and dosage of Lactihep Syrup ie before or after food and how many times a day ??

In addition to the restricted diet, the constipation can be effectively treated with the use of a laxative like Lactihep which contains lactitol.

Lactihep syrup should be given as follows:

Initial dosing is 15 to 30 mL orally, 2-3 times daily after the food.
Dosage should be adjusted to produce 2-3 soft stools per day.
The dose may be increased as tolerated.
However, its overdosage can result in severe diarrhea, electrolyte disturbances, and dehydration hence should be avoided.
