Suggest Dosage Of Diamox For Children

I found the dose (125mgs) for adults taking Diamox for altitude sickness, but curious what the standard metric is for a pediatric dose of Diamox. I have an 11 year old child, weighing 65lbs and a teenager, weighing 100lbs who are accompaning my husband and I to Machu Picchu over the holidays. Thank you

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, such medicine can only be taken if the peak height is more than 10, 000 feet with the clinical symptoms of high altitude, no authentic data is available for the dose of "Acetazolamide" in pediatric age group as long as the altitude sickness is concern and for that better to see the concern high altitude medicine department, children usually may not allowed on high altitude, still care need to be taken in both the manner like altitude and medicine too, hope this information helps
