Suggest Dosage For Clonazepam

if a person is in a manic delusional state and without their medication what can one do to calm them down especially if there has been no rest for a week. Medication had been stopped by patient and visiting out of state. If clonazepam is available at .5mg would that be dangerous?

The one key quesstion is whether the person had been on clonazepam. If one stops it suddenly it can cause delusions, and even fatal seizures. So, while resuming it is a good idea, it needs to be done in a hospital setting.

On the other hand, if someone hasn't been on it, then while it is a calming medicine, other drugs such as haldol would generally be preferred.
