I have Hypothyroid and on 25 thyroxin? Don t know if this better or not. I need help in food not to and to take, I also seem to like a lot of coffee, chocolate, and soy is in everything I like. Not too good on loosing weight. Any help I would be happy. Thankyou

The diet in hypothyroidism depends on the cause of hypothyroidism. The common causes being auto immune (hashimoto's) and iodine deficiency hypothyroidism. Hashimoto's hypothroidism is diagnosed by increased anti thyroid antibodies in blood.
No diet modification is needed as your thyroid is already affected by auto immune disease.

Iodine deficiency hypothyroidism Decrease consumption of : cabbage, cauliflower, soya, spinach, brocolli, millet etc Increase : Iodised salt, sea foods, milk etc 2.
