Suggest Diet Plan To Manage Uric Acid Levels In Blood

my father, age 46, is diabetic since a decade.. recently, he took tests and found out that he has high levels of uric acid in his body.. he had been taking dietary supplements in excess due 2 which there has been an abnormal increase in protein levels..what diet plan would u suggest for him?

Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Diet should be poor in purine rich food like offal, shell fish, crustacean, meat, sausages etc.
2. Avoid alcohol and take a low fat diet.
3. Take plenty of water. Weight reduction is necessary.
4. fresh fruits, vegetables and high fiber diet will be helpful.
