Hi,I am Neethu Vipin (Dietitian & Nutritionist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I am 23years of age,5.3" is my height and my weight is 65 kgs. I Know I am over weight and so I am trying to reduce by controlling my diet. Please suggest if my diet is correct or not. In the breakfast I have 2 chappathi, Then in my lunch I have 2-3 chappatis then I have a cup of coffee at around 4 o'clock and then around 5 then at night I have 2 chappathi by duing this we decrease weight
I actually have a book coming out on this topic. First, vegetables and fruits are an important part of the diet and a diet should have a variety of foods in it and not just one (chappati's). Then, it is tricky to know the calorie content of chappati's because they vary so much (are they fried? are they filled?) so, six chappati's sound like they probably are low in nutrition but also low in total calories but this is not going to be true if they are filled and deep fried. Cutting the chappati number in about half and including vegetables and some dairy. BUT also exercise. Surprisingly, weight lifting is quite important in weight loss and diet because it prevents weight loss being entirely muscle and increases the proportion of weight loss that is from fat.
