Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
You might be having nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH)/hepatic steatosis or fatty liver.
The mainstay of treatment of fatty liver disease is weight loss and exercise.
Treatment of hyperlipidemia with statin-type(orvas /Atorvastatin) agents has shown improvement in liver enzymes.
Ursodeoxycholic acid (udibon) has been used and improves liver enzymes in patients with many liver diseases.
Avoid alcohol and fatty foods especially ghee, cheese, butter, fried stuff.
A damaged liver allows SGPT to seep into the blood. According to a recent study, vitamin D prevents liver damage, which aids in reducing SGPT levels – those with high levels of vitamin D are less vulnerable to liver disease than those with low levels of vitamin D.Good sources of vitamin D are green leafy vegetables, carrots, squash, fortified cereals, soy milk, apples and oranges.
