Suggest Cure To Clear Yellow Tinge Of Sclera

Hi. Im jhon, 22 y/o. I had been diagnosed with hepa A before(way back when I was still 12 or 13 y/o). I was just wondering, since i was diagnosed with Hepa A, I never had my white eyes back. I still have yellow color on the white part of my eyes since then. Is there any way that i can cure this?

Well hep A is not known to cause chronic liver disease. Yellow discoloration is usually due to high bilirubin level in blood. excess one goes and binds to elastin protein in sclera, because of contrast it is more obvious on sclera.

The key is if levels are normal or back to normal level, bilirubin will be pulled back to liver to eliminate. Hence normal levels indicate discoloration in due to some other cause. Most likely in you.

Jaundice does not leave permanent discoloration, once levels are back to normal.

Differentiate from muddy sclera, mild congestion in which cause they just don't appear white.

If you have any other symptoms consult physician get liver function test(most common alcoholic liver disease), thyroid levels(hypothyroidism), hemolytic anemia etc .

Excess beta carotene can cause discoloration.
