Dear Doctor, my ankle injury is over 12 months old, I fell forwards (I m heavy) and hyperextended it because I sat on it with my whole weight. S/B GP and A&E, sprained and treated by physio, it took time to settle down but improved. However, just recently this same ankle/lower leg has been causing pain again, the ankle swells when I have been walking/standing (I m a nurse) for long periods (unavoidable). There is puffiness and cramps which radiate into the calf and shin and tingling in big toe. I am concerned hoping that these symptoms are not neurologically related, and would like to know how I can improve this leg so that I can do what I used to do, hike.............................. Many thanks
