Suggest Cure For A Hard Lump Under The Nipple

My 10 year old daughter has a small hard lump under her right nipple, she has not hit puberty as of yet, but it is only on 1 side, her nipple is slightly larger on this side and it is sore, could it be the beginning of puberty or a lump other than that, that should be checked out?

hi.

it is best if you consult with a doctor, preferably a general surgeon, for medical and physical examination. based from your description, it could be a cyst, a benign breast lesion. it could also be a fibroma or fibrocystic lesion. these lesions are best evaluated clinically. further diagnostic examinations, such as breast ultrasound, will be requested as needed. regular breast examination and follow-up with your doctor is highly recommended in these cases. management (medical and/or surgical) will be directed accordingly.
