Hello,

I can understand your concern for dark spots in legs and abdomen.

I can make out that you have the condition of lichen planus and that is the main cause of pigmentation in your case. It is quite often seen that the pigmentation due to lichen planus is quite deep and is resistant to simple treatments too.

In my patients with your kind of problem I prefer to use a combination treatment with Hydroquinone and tretinoin mixed with various preparations. Additionally glycolic acid and kojic acid creams can be used as maintenance therapy for long term usage.

I also suggest you to have sun protection to prevent further pigmentation.

All the best.
