I developed an Hydocele. I have been operated on here in Germany before Christmas on one side only(to avoid the chance of infection) and should have gone back after Chistmas to sort out the other side. The other side has now become very swollen and uncomfortable.Because of my wifes serious health problems I have been putting of the surgery required. How long can I put off for and what are the consequences if I do leave it longer?
1. earlier the surgery better as the swelling will be small and lesser complication 2. larger the swelling higher chances of pressur effect on the testis. difficulty in urination, chemical dermatitis over the scrotal skin due to spillage of urine, skin necrosis. 3. the hydrocele may get infected, bleeding into the swelling may occur.
a simple surgery will get complicated if delayed as to recovery time from the surgery will be more
thank you , hope your query is addressed
