Suggest Complications With Chronic Pancreatitis

hi, my patient is suffering from chronic pancreatitis and he is admitted in dmc hospital ludhiana .we want any suggestions if can get on this.he s also suffering from loose motions and doctor is giving insulin .could you please suggest what can we ask doctor to get clear picture of our patient and aware ourself.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted that your patient is suffering from chronic pancreatitis and is admitted in the hospital, is on insulin but still have loose stools.
I would advise the following in such a situation.
To get MRCP
Blood insulin levels and 6 hourly blood sugar charting and to alter the dosages as required.
To watch for any complications like pancreatic insufficiency .
To send the stool for routine and for undigested foods and components.
To add Pancreatic enzymes with food.
To avoid all the instigating or enhancing factors that increase pancreatitis.
