I have PV D in both eyes one year apart. Retina specialist says no tear or detachment present, however, I now experience throbbing in. blood vessels painless but loo ks scary. Is this serious? I see flash on side of one eye. Could I be going blind? Since PVD I now have cataracts in both eyes! Help!

Hello
I reviewed your history.
Posterior vitreous detachment is a normal age related event. No need to worry. But few cases may become complicated with retinaltear or detachment. Since you have undergone retinal examination and it is normal no need to worry.

Thank you
