Suggest Appropriate Dosage Of Acitrom 5mg

Hi Doctor,

Recently my mother was diagnosed for Pulmonary Embolism. She was admitted to hospital and now has been discharged. Her INR on 11th March 2011 was 1.76 and her INR when checked today is 2.79. She is taking Acitrom tablet of 5mg daily. The doctor has adivsed to continue taking 5mg tablet for the whole month. we are scared that this is a little over dose. Could you please advise on this.

Don't worry this is not overdosage....... you have to keep her INR btw 2.5-3.0, accordingly dose needs to be adjusted.
