My father is a Hepatitis B patient. He recently got his routine check up done and SGOT level was 42.07(normal range was 5-34) and SGPT level was 60.02(normal range was 0-40). What kind of vegetables or food in general should he eat and what kinds should he avoid?

Hepatitis B causes hepatitis (inflammation of liver). Treatment is available in the form of various anti-viral drugs. Your diet should be such that there should not be any burden of liver. Diet rich in carbohydrate is suitable for patients with liver disease.
Advice
1.     Take proper rest
2.     Avoid high protein and fat rich diet such as eggs, cheese, butter, chicken and meat
3.     Do not involve in strenuous activity for few months
4.     Make sure that you drink clean, uncontaminated water
5.     Eat diet rich in whole grains, fruits, vegetables and low-fat dairy products
6.     Take a over the counter vitamin B complex supplement
7.     Avoid alcohol and medicines known to cause liver damage such as paracetamol
8.     Divide your meals into smaller portions and eat them frequently during the day
9.     Avoid oily & spicy food
10.     Consume less salt preferably less than 3 gram per day
11.     Avoid smoking, alcohol, coffee and caffeinated beverages
