Suggest An Effective Treatment For Tick Bite With Very High Fever In Children

My daughter is seriously ill. She is 35 yrs old, has been biten by a tick that left a huge knot with a swirl of different colors. Is in Aurora South hospital right now. Her fever is running very high right at 105. She also has a rash all over body that is about as big as a quarter. The doctors are working very hard trying to find out exactly what this is. Antibiotics they are giving her has not helped at all. I am afraid she is not going to make it. If you have any suggestions please let me know!!!

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi
Welcome to the HCM

I understand your concerns. Your daughter seems to be suffering from serious form of Lyme disease caused by your ticket bites. The rash also known as erythematosus migrans is pathognomic of it. She will benefit from intravenous penicillin or ceftriaxone along with complete fluid and electrolyte management. Don't worry she will hopefully recover.

Hopefully it will be of help.
Take care
