Suggest Alternative Over-the-counter Medication For Roseday 10 Mg

I was prescribed Roseday10 and am taking it for last 4 years daily on tab .I am diabetic and had low lipid( Cholostorol). I recently tested and found all Lipid within normal range as BS is under control. Roseday 10 is a costly medicine. Should I continue or are there some cheaper but equally good alternative.

Hello, Thanks for using Healthcaremagic, i had data you have posted. recently guidelines have changed for management of dyslipidemia by American Heart Association. in a diabetic Age presence of clinical atherosclerotic cardioascular disease
LDL 70 to 180 withAVSCD risk more than 7.5 % needs moderate intensity statin or if the risk is more than 10% high intensity statin is required.
these above mentioned guidlines are for starting Statins. once started as per the guidelines they need to be continue lifelong. repeat testing is also not necessary as per guidlines but we test it after 6 months or so to check for compliance and if LDL is very low we decrease dosage or we stop it.
coming to the cost u can take atorvastatin 20 mg tab which might be cheaper than roseday. hope this helps..
