Hi Dear, Welcome to HealthCareMagic.
I have gone through your query & can understanding your concern.
toothache can be due to many reasons. Most common is
periapical abscess . This occur when infection spreads from
dental caries to beneath root of the tooth
You should
consult a dentist or endodontist specialist. Treatment depends on the condition of tooth, carious lesion, extent of infection and bone support of the tooth as follow :-
- If the infection is moderate and root of the tooth is also get involved ,
root canal treatment or apicoectomy will be performed.
- If there is bone loss and infection is severe the extraction of tooth should be done along with prescription of antibiotics.
In meanwhile you can take Augmentin Antibiotic twice day & Do warm saline rinses several times a day and take ibuprofen (if not allergic ) or
acetaminophen for pain and swelling.
