Suggest Alternative Medication For High BP

I am on lisinopril HCTZ tab 1 per day 10/12.5 mg and my Bp has been high - 137/97 to 137/100 range. I ran out of meds for two days due to Express Scripts mess up- this dosage hasn t been chgd for several yrs. I am 57 yr old female thru menopause - is there another med I sb taking? Thank you

well you r continously on the same drug and i can see your bp is still under the category of GRADE-2 HYPERTENSION ,your medicines certainly needs to be changed because carrying on too long the body kind of gets refractory to that particular medicine and dosage...kindly stop lisinopril + hctz and instead start a combination of BETA BLOCKER and DIURETIC LIKE CHLORTHALIDONE will be best for your age ..start these

(1) TABLET ATENOLOL 50 mg once daily

(2) TABLET CHLORTHALIDONE 25 mg once daily
